Los Angeles is defined by many things: our food, our culture, our traffic.

So what’s an Angeleno to do when guests come in from out of town and you want to give them a historical food culture tour but there’s just no way you want to spend a day sitting on the freeway?

That’s when it’s time to get social, as in Social Market & Eatery.

The recently opened Social Market & Eatery at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott is actually giving a real meaning to the phrase “conveniently located.”

It’s near Los Angeles International Airport and it’s pretty much a one stop taste-it-all kind of spot that will give you a sample of the food that’s waiting for you in the city, should you decide to battle traffic.

“We wanted to create something specific for L.A., for people who are coming here, maybe landing here for one night who come in and are flying out…they don’t have time to get out and see Abbot Kinney and Santa Monica, or downtown L.A. or all the great things we have to offer. So this is all food that’s native to Southern California, what we’re known for,” said Jeff Hart, the hotel’s general manager.
