CONGRATULATIONS TO FRED, GINO AND PHILIP AS THEY TAKE ON THEIR NEW ROLES AT THEIR RESPECTIVE HOTELS

Fred Adriance

Courtyard by Marriott

After serving in the Marine Corp Fred started my his hospitality career with Marriott in 1993 at the Courtyard Marriott in Hampton VA. Fred graduated with a  Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality from Johnson and Wales and upon graduation moved to LA in 1997 to work for the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel. 

Fred has held manager/director roles in Loss Prevention, Front Office, Event Management, Information Technology, GM, Regional Director of Operations and Corporate Food & Beverage Manager.  Fred left the industry for a period of 5 years to manage luxury residential residences most recently the development of the 1,500-unit Villas at Playa Vista for Irvine Company.

He is excited to rejoin Interstate Hotels at the Courtyard LAX, and to be back to work in an industry and location that he is extremely passionate about.

 

Gino Caliendo

Hyatt Regency Hotel

Hyatt LAX welcomes new General Manager, Gino Caliendo this summer.  Gino returns to Century Blvd after Hyatt tenures in Jacksonville, Fla, Coral Gables, Hill Country, San Antonio and New Orleans. 

Rarely found in his office, Gino enjoys engaging with guests and the staff of 350 colleagues that ensure a genuine L.A. experience for all guests.

“Nurturing the Hyatt culture by caring for people so they can be their best is an approach we all embrace,” he said.

Philip Dailey

Sheraton Gateway Hotel

Philip Dailey is our Vice President & Area Managing Director for Pyramid Hotel Group based at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles. In his role, Dailey also oversees the smooth operation of Pyramid’s Los Angeles portfolio which includes the Sheraton San Gabriel and Luxe City Center Hotel. 

With more than 30 years of management experience in both the luxury and lifestyle hospitality industry, Dailey joins Pyramid Hotel Group from a previous corporate position as Vice President of Transitions with the New York City based Denihan Hospitality Group. In that role he was responsible for managing all aspects of the development and opening process of complex urban hotel development projects with a strong focus on The James brand. Previously he held corporate operations and Managing Director postings at Barry Sternlicht’s hotel management and brand company SH Group. SH Group debuted with the launch of both the 1 Hotel and Baccarat Hotel & Residences brands. 

Previous General Manager postings include Ian Schrager’s PUBLIC Chicago, Andaz West Hollywood and SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills. 

1990’s and late 1980’s, Dailey held leadership positions with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, respectively. He began his career as a corporate management trainee with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in 1986.
