GATEWAY SUPPORTS
Gateway is proud to support the annual LAX Kiwanis Club Golf Tournament, which funds scholarships to LAX-area high school seniors who come from families with incomes that are at or below the federal established poverty level. These deserving scholarship recipients not only maintain the highest GPAs in their class, but are also active volunteers in their own communities, participating in activities such as beach clean- ups, tutoring and mentoring underclassmen, and volunteering at food banks. Last year, the club awarded over $20,000 in scholarships!
This year our partners, the LAX Coastal Education Foundation, will share in the proceeds from our golf tournament to provide teacher grants to LAX area schools and to fund other education-related activities. The kids win, the teachers win, and the schools win thanks to people like you!
This year’s event will be held on Monday, August 27 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. Checking in at 10 a.m., the event will include a shotgun start at noon preceded by lunch in the country club with a sit down dinner following golf with special guest speaker LAWA Executive Director Deborah Flint and live music.
